Dr. Kevin Burns

Specialty: Interventional Radiologist

Dr. Burns holds board certification in interventional radiology and offers specialized care in less invasive, image-led treatments at Providence Mission Hospital and Leonard Cancer Institute. With a focus on cancer care, he excels in techniques such as tumor embolization and ablation, and also provides relief from pain associated with bone tumors. Additionally, his areas of interest include:

  • Embolizing uterine fibroids
  • Prostate artery embolization for treating enlarged prostate (BPH)
  • Removing blood clots and pulmonary embolisms, venous rebuilding, and IVC filter extraction
  • Kyphoplasty to alleviate pain from spinal fractures

Dr. Burns completed his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Brown University. He received his medical education at New York University School of Medicine and did his residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He further honed his skills in interventional radiology and oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. As a Laguna Niguel native, Dr. Burns is eager to bring his specialized knowledge in less invasive treatments to the community in Southern Orange County.
